"Pyhä forest blue 2"

Pyhä is a ridge of glacial morraine in the Arctic Circle, in Finland, forested with ancient conifers. The blue light filters down to smaller saplings.

Wild Intelligence

Paintings, ceramics and installations by Jonathan Middlemiss, in collaboration with students from Great Missenden CofE School and Alistair Will from Outdoor Culture.

International artist Jonathan Middlemiss makes sublime and beautiful art in response to wild landscapes. In nature’s depth and light, Jonathan reveals a counter-balance to our society’s quest for meaning. This exhibition features recent and new work inspired by the Sami lands of Northern Europe and our very own Chiltern Hills. The show also includes the results of local children’s creative journeys with the artist this winter.

Project produced by Outdoor Culture, with support from the Ernest Cook Trust.
